Residency Tracks

The field of pediatrics is constantly changing due to the complexity of the children seen, the technologies available for pediatric care, and the clinical models that we apply. There are also new demands placed upon practitioners as the skills necessary for clinical and biomedical research exceed those needed just a decade ago. As such, current models of pediatric residency training need new directions to meet the needs of children and society while cultivating the unique learning needs of each resident. Working within the guidelines mandated by the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), we proudly offer opportunities for training in pediatrics in one of five different novel residency tracks at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital at the University of Florida.
